The Key to Design Insights: See the World Differently

An insightful article on design thinking...

http://bit.ly/fVK2KD

"Insights are the sudden realizations in which you interpret the observations and discover patterns. Patterns reveal gaps between where people are and where they'd ideally like to be. And, especially in the case of design, rifts between the way something is now and the way it should be. "

Isabel Acuña y Andrés Laza Moreno

Among the Argentine Tango master teachers whom I have taken classes from, I know Bichi and Isa personally more than any other teachers. On Facebook

I have always hated the fact that Facebook always changes features, layout and relocating buttons for various functions without any user feedbacks or giving us the freedom to choose or customize the interface. After watching the movie "The Social Network," It's clear to me that the "I-know-better-than-you" attitude of Mark Zukerberg manifests itself in these unpredictable, authoritarian Facebook feature changes.

The latest one that I just found out, which does not make any sense whatsoever, is how one cancels an add friend request. It used to be that you can simply look up the name under your friend list and delete the pending add friend request. But now, you have to go to the page of the person you are adding and click the cancel add friend request on the bottom of the column below the profile picture!
